A Facebook User, Jones FCC Onwuasoanya, has sent his Congratulations to Ukraine for winning the war between Russia and Ukraine. He believes Ukraine has won the war already, even when the war is not nearing its end soon. He posits that "Ukraine is winning the war for the free world, for democracy and for peace. It is only a matter of time, and the world would have been rid of one more bully."

He, also says that the Leadership in Ukraine is making the difference, hence attributing the success recorded so far to the President, who is an artist and a comedian and has inspired the country in a very short time.

Below is the Full Piece:

UKRAINE HAS WON!

In the early days of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, either on the first or second day, I argued that if Ukraine can withstand Russia for a few more days, that if they can drag the war to the point where the potty Putin is made to deploy more personnel, then, it would be counted to the Ukrainians as victory.

Russia didn't expect any resistance. They called it a "Special Military Operation" because they were expecting an easy capitulation of Ukrainians. They expected a quick victory with the most minimal of losses. This much was made clear in Putin's message to Ukrainians on the first day of the invasion. He directly told the Ukrainian military to "drop their weapons and go home". He tried to work on their minds, to frighten them, to make them think they don't have a single chance against his military. And of course, nobody expected Ukraine to stand a chance against a military that is at least, eight times stronger, bigger, more advanced and more sophisticated.

But, leadership is making all the difference, and it's coming from an artiste, a comedian and one who might not even know how to fire an assault rifle.

President Zelensky has made all the difference. He has, in a very short time, inspired his country to stand up to the aggressor. He has inflicted the worst damage, imaginable, to the Russian invaders - five Russian generals are already dead, more than 15,000 military men dead, helicopters, aircrafts, ships, etc have been destroyed.

The success of the Ukrainian resistance is turning the heat on Putin at home. More Russians at home are standing up to challenge him, to speak out against the war. Somehow, Zelensky has exposed Putin as not being superhuman. Ordinary Russians are beginning to understand that their President is indeed, human, and not a kind of God, and they are standing up and speaking up.

Whatever happens, Ukraine has won the war already. And they are winning the war for the free world, for democracy and for peace. It is only a matter of time, and the world would have been rid of one more bully.

Congratulations to Ukraine!

It should be recalled, Ukraine and Russia are two countries that border each other in Eastern Europe. On Feb. 24, 2022, Russia sent its army into Ukraine and began trying to take over the country by force.

This invasion surprised many people, as it was the first major war in Europe for decades. But Russia and Ukraine have had a difficult relationship for centuries. To understand what’s happening now you have to dig into 1,300 years of history.

Both countries trace their beginnings to the same medieval kingdom, called Kyivan Rus. It was founded in the 800s by a group of Vikings, the Varangians, who came from Northern Europe to rule over the local people. Kyivan Rus spanned what is now Russia and Ukraine, and its people, the Slavs, are the ancestors of today’s Russians and Ukrainians. Its capital was the city of Kyiv – the same Kyiv that is now the capital of Ukraine. Moscow, capital of today’s Russia, was also part of Kyivan Rus.

Moving on to The current war;

In February 2022, Putin again claimed that Ukrainians and Russians are one people. He sees Ukrainians and Russians as brother nations and says that because Russia is the older brother, it should get to be in charge.

Most Ukrainians disagree. They have been inspired by the words of their president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He told Putin that Ukrainians want peace, but that if they need to, they will defend their country’s independence.

Putin invaded, and this time his plan is to take over the entire country. Ukrainians are now fighting the Russian army, trying to defeat what they say is an occupation.

In Russia, the people had no say about whether to invade. Many are protesting against it. Many families have both Russian and Ukrainians members. Because of this, a lot of people on both sides of the border do not want to fight a war against each other.

The United States and much of Europe are on the side of Ukrainians. They believe Ukraine should be able to decide its own future.
