A HUMBLE PLEA TO THE ENUGU STATE GOVERNOR ON BEHALF OF THE ESUT STUDENTS - Comr. Dona Okolieuwa
Come. Dona and Enugu State Governor |
With profound gratitude, I must commend the Executive Governor of our dear State, the most peaceful, Youth and Students friendly Governor, His ExcelIency, Rt Hon Dr Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his swift action in curbing crimes and killings in some Areas of the State via the Executive Order No. 1 issued yesterday 24th Feb 2022, after a security meeting with the leadership of the affected Areas, in which Agbani in Nkanu West is inclusive.
Your ExcelIency, in as much as I commend your efforts, I will not hesitate to bring to your notice the suffering which the ban would unavoidably occasion on the Students of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Esut, and plead that The ban on Keke in Agbani, the University town, should be reconsidered for the overall interest of Students of Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Esut, in Agbani Campus.
It would be quite excruciatingly difficult for the students who use the Keke as the easiest, fastest and affordable means of transportation in the University community.
The Government of Enugu State should look into this with the view to amending the executive order No. 1 to the exclusion of Agbani the University town because of the students who would be at the receiving end of the difficulty which the ban would constitute in the area.
