Ngwu Adaora: The Dynamic Leader Of The 21st Century

Comr. Ngwu Adaora

A chick that will grow into a cock is spotted the very day it hatches, so do the elders say. But they never actually included that some, though it seldom happens, are actually born cocks, the ones that lay eggs. The young, dynamic SUG Vice President, Comr. Ngwu Adaora, belongs to this league.

The arrival of students all over the nation back to campus promoted a rush in the academic activities in various schools, such that it takes a typical student an extra effort to engage in something extracurricular. Quizzes, assignments and exams are being held on daily basis across campuses and these left no student no choice but to focus wholly on their studies.

But then our people always say that nothing stops an idea whose time has come. And so it was in the life of the trending leader, Comr. Ngwu Adaora, the SUG Vice President of Institute of Management and Technology, who didn't allow cumbersome school loads and activities deter her from carrying out her leadership roles which she promised the avalanche of Nigerian Students in the IMT extraction. The zeal to serve was so ardent in her that she engaged the students exclusively for two days as though she had planned it all along during the 10 months Covid-19 lockdown since last year.

What started like a joke to many came to fruition on the the 25th day of February, 2021 when the ever-sagacious woman leader hosted the IMT republic on a STUDENT WISE UP Conference; a conference that had great leaders like the Executive Chairman of Udi Local Government Area, Hon. Ifeanyi Pascal Agu (ably represented by his Supervisor for Education and Special Assistant on Students Development), the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Hon. Chidi Illogebe, Barr. Dr. Nnenna Anozie, DSP Ebere Omarizu, Hon. Ekene Uzodimma, Comr. Princess Ugwu, Mrs. Onyinye Mama, Engr. Goodness Ugwu, Hon. Monday Diamond and many more, numerous to mention.

At the end of the event, students were able to know the true role of leadership, the reason for active participation in leadership, and the importance of women-inclusive leadership.

As though this record-breaking event was not enough, this resilient young leader hosted the avalanche of the IMT Students on a cooking competition, an event she skillfully used to bring out the beauty of womanhood in the culinary activities.

Many students were able to test their cooking skills and were awarded at the end of the program.

These events from this outstanding young female leader indeed has gone in its way to show that it is not the position that makes the leader but rather, the position that makes the students. Every student leader in the present age should borrow a leaf from this exemplar.
