The Chairman of Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) Enugu State Hon Offiah Kingsley Ndubuisi has warned politicians from

Enugu State who are resting on the false hope that moving to the ruling party will guarantee their success in the elections ahead to desist from such impression as it will no longer hold water for them. This according to him is informed by the singular fact that the youths are now ready and prepared to change the game to ensure that credibility and forthrightness count in subsequent elections in the state and Igbo land at large.

The firebrand Chairman made this remark in a press statement shortly after an expanded executive meeting of the Ohanaeze Youth council in Enugu State involving the Coordinators of the youth organization in the 17 Local Government Areas of Enugu State. He maintained in strong terms that integrity, hard work, good experience etc will determine the faith of who gets what in subsequent elections.

Offiah noted with dismay the unwholesome practices of our politicians who only have recourse to the youths only during election times and desert them thereafter. He averred that with the new Ohaneze Youth Council leadership in place in the state and South East that it will no longer be business as usual.

In his words, '...the youths have come to their senses, we are already mobilizing to stop political god-fatherism and party sentiments... this time we go for personality not party.'

He went further to state that the youths under his watch are seriously on massive mobilization with positive results. It was to that effect that he thanked and appreciated the teeming youths of Enugu state for the tremendous support so far within the shortest time in office which according to him is a glaring pointer to a new beginning in the affairs of Ohaneze Youth Council in the state.

Offiah expressed the optimism that with the trend in OYC in the state now, that the 2023 elections will no doubt be a litmus test on the readiness and determination of the youths in taking their destinies into their own hands.

On his disposition to political leaders he noted that his organization is committed to the enthronement of good leadership and shall continue to engage our leaders to see that right things are done.

The chairman who was visibly emotional but firm made a clarion call on the youths of this nation to take what rightfully belong to them and not sitting on the fence.
