The Joy Ifeanyi Agu brought to the Joy Village; Christianity Exemplified! 

It is recorded in the book of Proverbs 19:17 that "whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord" and the witty Kathy Calvin once rightly submitted that "Giving is not just about making a donation, but about making a difference." The entire community of Joy Village, Ebe; a non-profit humanitarian organization founded in Nigeria in 2010, with the goal of adopting poor rural villages and co-developing them into values-based caring communities, has seen this light of difference from an unusual personality whom the pursuance of good governance would have distracted from looking at those little things that matter; those little things like putting smiles on the faces of motherless children.

Hon. Ifeanyi Pascal Agu is the Executive Chairman of Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State whose exemplary leadership styles, especially in revamping his local government (Udi) into a Smart City, have by far set a big standard in Enugu State local government administrations.

Ever Since his emergence early last year, the exceptional Smart City Mayor, Hon. Ifeanyi Pascal Agu, has taken an exceptional notice of these orphaned children, giving them hope of a better future  through countless visits to their orphanage home and involving them in programs organized in the local government for them to perform and showcase their talents to the world.

Maintaining they would only lack things they didn't mention because their elder brother is the local government chairman, the Udi Digital Mayor paid them  a humanitarian visit during the early stage of Covid-19 last year, giving them bags of rice, tubers of yam and other palliative materials to aid them in the fight against the pandemic.

Just few days ago, the god-sent Joy of the Joy Village, Hon. Ifeanyi Pascal Agu, visited the orphanage home again in his routine manner, acting both father and mother to the orphans and  celebrating Christmas with them. 

With this great love for these children, one would wonder if their prayers have not been speaking volumes in the administration of this young Mayor who has been able to leave an indelible mark of development in virtually all the sectors in the local government in just few months. Perhaps that last part of the Bible verse of Proverbs 19:17, about God repaying a cheerful giver for his deeds has been made manifest in Udi Local Government under Hon. Ifeanyi Pascal Agu. The world need an Ifeanyi Agu to do better!
