Yesterday, the Federation of Enugu West Students (FEWS) UNN Chapter hosted a chat show with the hashtag #AskObieze.

FEWS is made up of five different Local Government Areas namely: Aninri, Awgu, Ezeagu, Oji River, and Udi Local Government Areas of Enugu State.

Kpolakpo (as many students fondly call this kind of association) has been the major engine powering youth participation in politics today. Most of the young people you see in power today started from Kpolakpo.

FEWS was created years back in order to fuel the successful pursuit of excellent education, to bring brothers and sisters together in the University community, to empower youth participation in politics especially in the SUG level, as a means to reach out to the our representatives in government, to help each other both academically, financially and otherwise. These and many more are some of the reasons behind many Kpolakpo organisations.

Let's go down to the questions and answers in the #AskObieze FEWS Chat Show. The event was anchored by the president of the association, Comrade Ukolie Franklin Chidera Missa. Below is the conversation.

As SUG president of ESUT i became the Chairman, Southeast League of SUG president. A platform i led to a courtesy visit to His Excellency, Orji Uzor Kalu. A relationship was established.
That relationship later led to my being appointed as his Special Assistant to him on Youth Mobilization.
After i was called to Bar, I resigned from his office and joined legal practice.
One thing led to another and in 2013 I was appointed by the Deputy Senate President and Speaker of ECOWAS Parliament, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu as his Senior Legislative Assistant.
By 2015 i took a leap of faith and won election as an honourable member of the Enugu State House of Assembly.
