The federal government has advised secondary and primary school students, pupils and their parents across the country to
visit the website of the ministry of education for the timetable of online classes which is set to begin on Monday across the country.
Minister of State for Education, Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba stated this during the daily press briefing of the Presidential Task Force, held in Abuja, adding that holidays for pupils and students across the country are over despite the COVID19 prevalence.

According to the minister, telecommunication companies across the country have pledged to provide free services of online school classes for students across the country.
In his words, “Holidays are over for pupils and students of schools across the country. We have the cooperation of telecommunication companies in the country that they will provide free online services to aid the online classes for students across the country.

“Specifically, Airtel Nigeria has already provided a platform for free classes while MTN, GLOBACOM and 9MOBILE are currently working on the modalities for setting up similar platforms for the online classes because the federal government is very passionate about ensuring that our students resume classes immediately to avoid loss of time”. He said.

The minister also hinted that the Federal Government has collated the timetable for classes from all the states in the federation and uploaded on the website of the ministry to enhance easy information.
“States like Anambra began online lectures on Wednesday other states also have their individual timetable. However, what we have done is to get all the data across the states in the country to upload on our site for easy access” he added.
