UNN former SUG president Extols Prof. B.C Ozumba As the V.C exit date Nears

Applauded The award Winning Vice Chancellor for many of his Good Works.

Some of the Project or service he pointed out Includes; His Refusal To increase the Tuition Fee, Forestalling of the 'One Student, One Laptop' Project because of the Economic Situation. He also Pointed out the Invention of Roar hub for Idea Incubation and The Science Park and Most passionately his ability to  initiate And sustain the Vacation job for Students.

Chukwu In This Short message also out  how he met the Vice Chancellor  for the first Time.

When I look at this, I am moved to tears... My award winning Vice Chancellor, Professor Benjamin Chukwuma Ozumba is about to exit the scene...
He's been a blessing to my life in particular and tens of thousands of others.
I remember the first time i saw/met you in my first year 2014. You had just emerged as Vice Chancellor and you made a humble drive through boys hostels. The hostels occupants came out en masse to air their grievances about the living conditions in the hostels. You asked for five representatives to come discuss with you in camera, fortunately l was among the five selected to represent Alvan lkoku hostel.
It was only a few minutes and l was already greatly inspired. This scrawny young first year student shaking hands and discussing with the Vice Chancellor, wow!!! I knew I had made it in life!!!
I dared to fire a question at you, and you replied ever so gently, "You know these things take time, the bureaucratic bottlenecks and and all, but we will get the job done. You people should just gimme some time, ok"...
At time, I never knew in later years l was gonna come work with you in a closer relationship as the President of Students Union Government.
My year of service with you was smooth because of your fatherly guidance, listening  ears and prompt readiness to solve students issues.
Despite the pressure to increase fees for tuition and hostel accommodation for efficient services, you remain sympathetic and kept the fees at status quo, choosing rather to source funds from other places to solve these problems.
You forestalled on the ”one student one laptop" project, knowing most students cannot afford such at that moment, giving the economic meltdown.
You brought Roar Hub for idea incubation. You started the Science Park.
You initiated and sustained the Vacation Job for students even when the University  has little or no money to continue funding such magnanimous project.
